My name is Sydney Osborne! I'm a Chicago-based dancer, artist, and maker. I grew up in the suburbs of St. Louis and moved to Chicago in 2019 to attend Loyola University Chicago. I graduated summa cum laude in 2023 with a BA in dance, as well as a BA in visual communication. During my time at Loyola, I was fortunate to work with choreographers such as Sarah Cullen Fuller, Amy Wilkinson, Dominique Atwood, and Braeden Barnes. In 2022, I traveled with fellow dance majors to Rome, Italy to participate in a cultural exchange study abroad residency with Mandala Dance Company. In addition, I served as an intern for Chicago Dancer Health Fund, assisting with marketing, social media, and events such as Dance for Life.
Since graduating, I have joined Venetia Stifler & Concert Dance Inc as a company dancer, working with esteemed choreographers such as Edson Cabrera, Osnel Delgado, and Amy Wilkinson. In addition, I serve as the social media manager and graphic designer for Concert Dance Inc, and assist with administrative duties. Along with Concert Dance Inc, I am also a company dancer with Same Planet Performance Project under Joanna Read. I have participated in various festivals such as Elpis Dance Festival, Deaths Door Dance Festival, and “The Barn Project” hosted by Peter Stathas Dance.
In addition to dancing, I work as a freelance graphic designer, creating print and digital designs for clients. This includes a range of projects, from posters and flyers to social media graphics. I also work at the Chicago Athletic Clubs as a customer service desk receptionist. In my free time, I enjoy discovering new music, going on walks, thrifting, and hanging out at coffee shops.
